Spanish National Honor Society

 

¡Bienvenidos a la Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica de Mill Valley High School, Capítulo La Giralda del Valle!

La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is for high-achieving and dedicated students enrolled in Spanish 3, Spanish 4, Spanish AP Language and Culture, and Spanish AP Literature and Culture. Students may apply in the fall with teacher approval, provided they meet the academic requirements. The society acknowledges students’ accomplishments and actively promotes language, culture, and service in both the school and the broader Spanish-speaking community. Each year we induct many new members in the fall in a beautiful evening ceremony.

We usually meet monthly and offer some additional cultural engagement activities. Most meetings are once a month on a Monday morning before school. In addition, members must complete service and language engagement hours. These opportunities take place both inside and outside of school, connecting with the Spanish-speaking community.
